The Mitsubishi Galant is a predictable commuter car

Imagine a Japanese interpretation of a Chevy Impala and you won’t be far off. A soft ride and roomy interior make it perfect for rental fleets, but the Galant lacks the personality and capabilities to attract attention away from segment-leaders Honda Accord and Toyota Camry.

Realizing the best safety feature is one that avoids a crash in the first place, designers included the Active Stability Control system to maintain proper control and handling during extreme conditions. The system uses sensors to monitor speed and steering input and uses the data to apply braking pressure to wheels that are slipping or to cut down on the engine throttle if necessary.
