2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Side View
Driving Review
It's a pleasant car to drive although the engine is nothing spectacular. The engine is powerful enough although is certainly no racing engine (it is only a 2.4 in a fairly big body so the lacklustre performance can be excused). The engine feels somewhat unresponsive however reaching the speed limit is achieved with ease.
The car feels very sturdy on the road in two or four wheel drive; use of four wheel drive has been necessary to get up our very slippery and steep driveway. The car feels wider and longer than it actually is which takes a bit of getting used to but this does make one feel safe. We had the optional reversing sensors fitted which should really be a standard feature.
The CVT (automatic) gearbox is awesome being smooth and effective and adapts well to driving conditions. Fuel consumption however is heavier than expected although reviews we read prior to purchase warned us of this.
The only negatives are that the controls for the stereo on the steering wheel are a little small and the indicator sound should be louder (these are very small annoyances however).
