2010 Land Cruiser Facelift Photos Appear on Arabic Site

2010 Land Cruiser Facelift Photos Appear on Arabic Site

2010 Toyota Land CruiserWhile Toyota has already revealed an updated version of its larger Land Cruiser V8 (also known with the 200 moniker) in 2007, the smaller, latest generation Land Cruiser 3- and 5-door models that are sold in some markets as the Land Cruiser Prado, haven't changed much since their initial introduction. But today, a set of photographs, supposedly showing the facelifted 2010 Land Cruiser Prado, appeared on an Arabic Toyota enthusiast forum.

W2010 Toyota Land Cruisere only have the front and back ends to go by, but chances are there won't be any changes to the Land Cruiser's profile. Compared to the current model (pictured on the right), the SUV featured here gets a reworked fascia that appears to adopt styling cues from Toyota's latest European models like the Avensis. At the back, the Land Cruiser Prado boasts a new set of tail lights plus a revised tail gate design.

It remains to be seen if the vehicle featured in these photos is indeed the facelfited 2010 Toyota Land Cruiser.

In Europe, the current Land Cruiser is offered with two engine options, a 4.0-liter V6 petrol with 249 horsepower and a 3.0-liter turbo diesel that makes 173 horsepower.

JDM 2010 Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon

JDM 2010 Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon

If the overly secretive teaser image of the JDM 2010 Subaru Legacy that is scheduled to be officially revealed in the Land of the Rising Sun on May 20th wasn't enough for you, Japan's Car Mode magazine has a full blown photo of the Touring Wagon version in its latest issue. Stylistically, the differences between U.S market 2010 Subaru Legacy that was unveiled in New York and the JDM model are limited to minor details like the prolonged air intakes at the corners of the front bumper and the redesigned exterior mirrors.

The Legacy Touring Wagon that is featured in these scoop photos is in effect an Outback stripped out of its 'crossoverish' doodads and plastic add-ons for a more conventional look. If you happen to prefer the simplicity of the Touring Wagon over the Outback then tough luck because while the Estate is scheduled for a European launch, Subaru has no plans of bringing it to the States.

New BMW X3 xDrive18d achieves a combined 38mpg

New BMW X3 xDrive18d achieves a combined 38mpg

Sometimes less, is more. Want a vehicle with low fuel consumption but a fast car? Then how about going for one fast car with a smaller displacement engine? All you have to do is ask yourself if you really need an SUV fast car with close to 300HP - that's you we're talking about soccer mom, colleague kid and law-abiding dad who never, ever go over 65mph... A very good example of 'less is more as fast car', is BMW's new entry-level X3, the xDrive18d which is powered by a 2.0-liter diesel producing 143HP and a more than adequate 350Nm or 258 lb-ft of torque at just 1,750 rpm.

In conjunction with BMW's EfficientDynamics systems, the X3 xDrive18d returns an average fuel consumption of just 6.2 lt/100km which is equal to 38mpg US and 45.6mpg UK fast car, and a CO2 rating of 165 gr/km. Not bad at all.

The downside is that the entry-level X3 won't blow your mind with its performance stats - it needs 10.3 seconds to reach 100km/h (62mph) from standstill while the speedometer's needle stops at 195 km/h or 121mph. But then again, it all depends if you really need-slash-want the extra power and improved performance figures fast car.

Like all engine variants the new BMW X3 xDrive18d also comes as standard with BMW's xDrive all-wheel-drive system. As with most diesel-powered cars of the sort, the X3 xDrive18d is not destined to make a career in the States. European sales of BMW's new fast car version of the X3 will commence this month.

BMW X5M and X6M Officially Revealed: 73 High-Res Photos of 555HP V8 Crossovers

BMW X5M and X6M Officially Revealed: 73 High-Res Photos of 555HP V8 Crossovers

2010 BMW X5M and X6MIt's the moment power-hungry crossover lovers have been waiting for; Munich has officially swiped the covers off its first ever M-prepped "X"models, the X5M and the X6M. Without any doubt, these are the most divisive models ever to wear the M badge. However, BMW vows that both crossovers feature all the typical sport characteristics one would expect from an M-badged model. Under the hood, this translates to an all-new 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that cranks out 555HP at 6,000 rpm and a whopping 680Nm or 501-lbs/ft of peak torque available between 1,500 and 5,650 rpm.

2010 BMW X5M and X6MThose figures put to shame the M5's and M6's 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V10 that generates 507HP and 520Nm or 383-lbs/ft of peak torque. But no need to worry as from what our sources tell us, the new twin-scroll turbo V8 will replace the V10 in the next generation M5 and M6 models.

For the first time in a BMW M model, the X5M's and X6M's V8 is matted to a six-speed automatic transmission with shift paddles on the steering wheel. Both models retain BMW's intelligent xDrive all-wheel-drive system, though it has been revamped to distribute more power to the rear wheels.

In terms of performance, both M models accelerate to 100 km/h (62mph) from a standstill in 4.7 seconds and reach an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h (155mph) or 275km/h (171mph) with the optional "M Driver's Package".

2010 BMW X5M and X6MBMW's M division engineers have also performed upgrades on the X5's and X6's suspension setup as well as on the Dynamic Performance Control, the Servotronic steering system and the brakes which now combine four-piston fixed calipers at the front with floating calipers at the rear, with internally-vented and larger discs.

Cosmetic changes are common for both models. On the outside they include a new bodykit that consists of new front and rear bumpers, rocker panels, side gills, quad exhaust tail pipes and 20-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the X5M and X6M feature the usual M-branded sport steering wheel and leather seats as well as a revised instrument panel.
